You know, I absolutely love Shannon's motives here. This is awesome. The world needs more prom date!Dean fics.

Doesn't it, though? (I can't promise any, though there may be the beginning of a plan to send Sam to his prom and let things go awry.)

Thank you, dear, for reading and commenting. Shannon was fun -- that poor thing just wanted the prom Seventeen magazine had always promised her.

So did Lyla, originally, I guess. But sometimes what you actually get is better... :)

True! But I think it's fair that the girl who didn't resort to the black arts got rewarded, and the one who did got pushed in a lake.

There has to be a moral, after all. :)

I LOVE THIS! You are a fantastic storyteller, sugar.

And don't fret about the zombie lore because...well...they aren't real anyway.

This is hilarious, and I really like the use of shifting POVs here. Absolutely going in my memories.

Thank you! I'm glad the shifting POVs work for you -- it was fun to let them both comment on what was going on.

I am horribly overdue in commenting on this. I loved it. Stories about Dean's teenage years are a particular favorite of mine, and it hit both my case file kink and my unabashed love of original characters. I absolutely adored Lyla.

Your comment arrives, however, at the end of a long day at the end of a longer week, and just when it was due. I'm glad you liked it, and I have to confess to adoring Lyla as well, so I'm pleased to not be alone in that. :)

Great story! Love the humouristic tone to the whole thing, and yay for Lyla for being - all things considered - pretty kick-ass! This is truly something I could see happening in canon - thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you!

I wanted to make Lyla about as kick-ass as I figured she reasonably would be, so I am very glad she came across that way. :)

Thank you! I tend to be fond of my OCs, and I am always ridiculously pleased when people like them.
